So earlier today, Renault-Alpine released their absolutely beautiful Vision concept. It’s elegant yet sporty, and is a great homage to the A110. Here are a few images:

The final version will be unveiled at some point this year, but it won’t go on sale until at least summer 2017. I think that this car is the best possible way to resurrect Alpine, but it will not be the only one on their production line. Rumour has it that an SUV will be alongside this baby Cayman fighter. Yes, Porsche Cayman fighter. It may look like something that will go up against the Fiat 124 and Mazda MX-5, but it will have a 250-300bhp 1.8 litre engine. Alpine also claims that it will have a 0-60 time under 4.5 seconds and will weigh just 1100kg. These specs make the car a great rival to the Cayman (0-60 in 4.9, 1,370kg, 315bhp). As for the price, we can guess about £40,000 – which is a fair bit cheaper than the £50k Cayman.

I truly believe that this will be an outstanding car and cannot wait to see it on the roads. But what if it was taken to another level? To an outrageous level. Then there’s the MF Design Spectre:

Pretty much as soon as the Vision Concept was released, I knew I had to take it to a different place. The first step was taking it to the floor, which already changed the presence of the car. I took the rear bumper from the F12 N-Largo and made adjustments so it fitted the car’s design. Then widened (a lot!) in Liberty Walk style, lights tinted, some aerodynamics drawn in, Vorsteiner rims fitted and a small wing added. Overall it’s taken a peaceful little French sports car and transformed it into a monster.

So which takes your fancy? The classy, elegant Alpine Vision? Or the outrageous, monstrous Spectre?
