An estimated £20 million worth of supercars have gathered at a ‘secret’ supercar meet at the Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome and Proving Ground in Leicestershire. The event, hosted by Supercar Driver, was an invite-only event, with social media platforms having pictures and posts going viral on the day of the meet.

The event featured supercars such as the Bugatti Veyron, a Jaguar XJ220 and Paul Bailey’s famous 3 hypercars, the La Ferrari, Porsche 918 and McLaren P1. The owner of Supercar Driver, Adam Thorby said that the event was a testament to the group’s members, who turned up despite the poor weather, which was fierce enough to possibly cause damage to the owner’s cars. Thorby said ‘The turnout from members was staggering, considering the forecast was for heavy rain all day. You would be lucky to see any one of those cars out in the height of summer, let alone the full group in less than ideal conditions.’

Membership of the Supercar Driver’s website cost £40 per quarter, and promises at least 35 events each year, from runway days to test driving cars. Further to the membership however, you must own a specified supercar in order to join the Supercar Driver’s members. Qualifying vehicles range from a Ferrari 288 GTO to a Mercedes C63 AMG.

Full joining criteria can be found here.
