The word ‘Quattroporte’ in Italian is literally translated to ‘four doors’. Believe it or not, the first series of the Quattroporte model was first produced by Maserati in 1963. Since this date, the company have introduced a further five series of the Quattroporte model, with series VI being produced from 2013.

This weeks Used Performance Car of The Week however is a series V model. Produced between 2003 and 2012, the series V was powered by a 4.2L V8 engine, giving it a 0-60MPH time of 5.2 seconds and a top speed of 171MPH.

This model, first of all is finished in Rosso Mondiale, a rare red colour not often found in a Quattroporte, but it is finished off well with the black leather interior with contrast red stitching. The car has covered 66,000 miles, which is an average of less than 10,000 miles per year, considering that this car is a 2008 model.

The Quattroporte is an Executive GT model, which comes with massaging rear seats, alcantara headlining and built to a luxury orientated specification. On top of that, the rear seats have tray tables, and the car is also fitted with satellite navigation. The best part about this car is the price, a 4.2L V8 enigned, Maserati for the price of £23,500!
